FISDEF Grants Support Innovative Learning for All Students!

The Floresville ISD Education Foundation has provided much-needed support to the district through the Innovative Teaching Grants. The many teachers who were awarded FISDEF grants were willing to take risks by integrating technology into their classrooms and piloting innovative teaching strategies. We are grateful for the dedication of these teachers to go the extra mile to provide students with enhanced learning opportunities. Devices provided by FISDEF are close to 10% of the total devices needed for the FISD 1:1 initiative, expanding the positive impact of the FISDEF from the students whose teachers are grant recipients to ALL students in the district. Thank you to the FISDEF for helping FISD achieve goals identified in the FISD Strategic Plan.

Floresville ISD Education Foundation’s mission is to provide opportunities for excellence in education, promote innovation in teaching, and partner with the community to enhance the quality of education for all students in Floresville ISD.

Our Goals

To provide foundation grant opportunities, from monetary gifts received, for programs and activities that enhances the education of our students beyond the normal classroom experience.

To recognize and encourage student and staff excellence that enriches teaching and inspires learning.

Our Foundation

Floresville ISD Education Foundation is a volunteer-led, charitable 501(c)(3) non-profit organization governed by its own board of directors and represented by a group who share a vision for enhancing excellence in education to all Floresville Independent School District students. The Foundation does not replace lost state funding or replace the district’s operating budget.
